Otema is a Canadian corporation with its head office located in Markham, Ontario. The company's roots date back to 1973, when it was founded by Martin Otema, then a recent immigrant from Sweden.

At its inception, the company was set up as a custom metal fabricator to serve the North American retail market with innovative metal components and store fixtures that few other fabricators produced at that time.

Today, thirty years later, our organization and manufacturing facilities are substantially different. We have total in-house capabilities in woodworking, metal fabricating, glass production and other related manufacturing activities.

Our woodworking plant is operated with a multitude of CNC equipment, a superb cabinet shop and the finest custom finishing department that one could ask for. The metal fabricating shop is also CNC equipped for precision production of the finest quality interior products and components in all aspects of ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel materials in rod, bar stock and sheet goods as well as ornamental moldings, profiles, castings and hardware systems. The glass shop is fully equipped for all in-house production of flat form, polished, beveled, accurately crafted and UV assembled glass, with all the equipment needed for consistent high quality. Our assembly department, where wood, metal, glass, electrical assemblies and other components come together to a fine product, is where the units get their Otema stamp of approval.

These departments of wood, metal, glass and assembly, with all the best equipment available today, are still only one ingredient to our success. The other and much more important component are all the men and women, from the office throughout the factory floor and to our installers, that make it happen.
